About Us
The association's purpose as stated in our by-laws are:
1) To enhance teaching and learning in Suffolk County
School Districts through the use of computers and other educational
technologies by encouraging the integration of technology into the K-12
curriculum and ensuring that our students are provided with the
educational opportunities necessary to prepare them for the 21st
century.
2) To provide members with opportunities to share
ideas and information relating to instructional, administrative, and
management technologies in education.
3) To provide high standards of supervision and leadership in the area of educational technologies. There are three levels of ASSET membership:
Active School District Member Two
individuals from a Suffolk County public school district responsible
for the administration and supervision of instructional and/or
management computer services may become an Active School District.
Associate Member Administrators or supervisors
for technology from school districts outside of Suffolk County,
administrators and supervisors from other educational agencies and
institutions such as BOCES, SCOPE, colleges, etc. may become an
Associate Member.
Commercial Member Any corporation, company,
consultant, or other individual desiring to contribute to the
activities of the association, may become a Commercial Member. |
