Rushton Hurley has taught at the middle school, high school, and college levels.  Two years ago he left full-time teaching in order to start Next Vista for Learning, an educational nonprofit focused on building a free library of videos by and for teachers and students everywhere.  He has presented twice at NECC, and has done workshops and sessions at state and regional conferences in Florida, Texas, Colorado, California and New York.  Rushton has two master's degrees from Stanford University, is a Google Certified Teacher, and does staff trainings at schools.  His experiences include being principal of an online high school and presenting on the value of internet-based learning in India, and he currently facilitates free monthly online sessions at TappedIn.org.  A primary focus of his work is to help teachers find new ways to engage their students in their learning, while developing strong professional communities for sharing resources and ideas.
